An original letter from Hetty Dunaway dated June 10th, 1936 is attached to the verso and refers to her paintings.

Hetty Dunaway was an actress who married the producer Wayne P. Sewell and moved to his family's plantation in Georgia. There, she decided to build special gardens suitable for theatrical and movie productions. She was quite successful in this endeavor attracting the Hollywood Ballet, Minnie Pearl, Edward Strawbridge and many others. Her gardens still exist today and can be visited.
